The leisurely route

The track in the direction of the Predigtstuhl eventually changes into a hiking trail.

The ultimate hikes

Ascent from the south

from Schwarzbachwacht via the Moosensteig (Trail No. 470) or

Ramsau via Mordau-Alm (Trail No. 479)

Around 6 hours walking time. For experienced mountain hikers. Local parking available. Bus stop Taubensee, Route 845.

Both trails form part of the Ramsau “Almerlebnisweg” (alp experience way). From the Moosenalm, the Moosensteig (470) leads all the way to the Predigtstuhl along the western flanks of the Latten Mountains. There are no great inclines to be overcome.

The track across the Mordau Alp first trails along the eastern side, but then quickly gains height before leading across the Karkopf as the highest peak of the Latten Mountains. The Schlegelmulde Alpine Hut is the destination of both routes.

Today cable car and gastronomy closed because bad weather.

We very much regret that we can not drive you to the Predigtstuhl today and hope to be able to welcome you soon. Thank you for your understanding.
